Indian Institute of Science and Technology (IIST) is a Deemed to be University under UGC act 1956. IIST function as Autonomous body under Department of Space of GOI. The Institute is the first of its kind in the Country to offer high quality education at the UG, Graduate, Doctoral Post Doctoral levels on the areas with special focus to space Science, space technology and space applications. The institute has been declared as Deemed to be University and has been ranked 30 for Engineering by NIRF 2019. IIST is offering B.Tech in Aerospace Engineering and Avionic and the admission to this course are JEE Advanced based. The major feature of this programme is the liberal offer of assistance ship to meritorious students, rendering the education completely free subject to the students securing a stipulated minimum academic requirements. As performance based financial assistance is provided by DOS to the B.Tech students of IIST. ISRO/DOS have the first right to absorb them, subject to the vacancies notified by the ISRO in that particular discipline and year of IIST graduate. So IIST is the best in country for pursuing B.Tech Aerospace Engineering. The fee structure is given below. Fee structure per semester for UG programme :

However let me question you that the placements for graduates of aerospace engineering is quite problematic. There are very few Jobs available and as a result majority of the students in going in for MBA or pursue their MS in US or some other European country. In view of this I would strongly recommend that you pause think over search around and then only going for graduation in this branch. Hello Yuva Vanka, you are presently doing Diploma in mechanical engineering and after completion you wish to complete aerospace engineering graduation so that you can get a job in NASA. Right? Frankly speaking getting a job in NASA for a non US citizen is quite tough since that being the premier space agency of the country. In addition take on board specialists from different fields of studies like fluids structure materials physics mathematics metallurgy etc. One need not be an aerospace engineer to get employed in NASA for that matter even ISRO here in India. The best way for you is to clear your JEE Mains and then JEE Advanced and get admission in one of the IIT for aeronautical for aerospace engineering course. Hello Srikanth, it's very nice to know that after completion of your 12th standard you are interested in seeking admission for the branch of aeronautical engineering for aerospace engineering. Normally speaking every state in India with the notable exception of tamilnadu have assigned some or the other examination as the criteria for giving admissions to the engineering colleges. At the Central government level one needs to appear for JEE Mains and for advanced for admissions to CFTI for IIT. You need to access the website of the directorate of technical education of your state to know whether they conduct a separate entrance exam for or take JEE Mains score for admissions to the colleges in your state and depending on this you will need a cure for this entrance exam and then bid to get this branch of engineering while taking admission.
