Hello Kanak, it's very nice to hear from you that you are intending to do doctorate in aerospace engineering. However aerospace engineering is an omnibus subject and it encompasses to many issues and areas. In addition for doing a doctor if one needs to option the Masters degree which apparently you have not here joined. But then you can do doctorate in one of the specialisations of physics which would be of use in aeronautical sciences. I would advise you to look for a guide and an institution who is offering this doctor air and after talking to them you can decide your next course of action. Best wishes to you.

If you are intrigued by machine designs, their mechanics, and dynamics, go for mechanical engineering. Mechanical engineering yields some similarities, the biggest difference between the two careers is what professionals in the field engineer. However, the subject of petroleum engineering touches upon a variety of topics and domains like Economics, Geochemistry, Geology, geomechanics, geophysics, seismology, plate tectonics, thermodynamics, gas production, oil drilling, and many others. Aeronautical engineering is a niche branch with a limited scope on aviation. This is highly technical and full of innovation. Whereas, there is a huge

Hello Seem Gupta, it's very nice to know that you are interested in seeking admission in the Aerospace branch of engineering. However let me question you about the future prospects. As per the report more than 50% of the students who passed out the year before last could not be placed in the proper field after passing out as Aerospace or aeronautical engineers. As a result majority took the course of joining MBA and few of them went abroad for pursuing MS. I am afraid the opportunities for the students of this branch at least at the moment or in the foreseeable future are quite less and hence the majority of the seats are not getting f

Hello Puli Vilash, now a days, the admissions to PG courses in engineering are invariably based on performance in the particular paper of GATE. You need to appear in the paper concerning aeronautical engineering in GATE for getting admission in M.Tech in aeronautical engineering. Best wishes to you.

Yes, definitely. In today's world, the girls have conquered all the frontiers including becoming the fighter pilots in the Indian Air Force. Doing engineering in the aeronautical branch is absolutely no issue for girls. You should study hard and you will find the placements at the end of your 4-year degree course. Best wishes to you.

Hello Shreya, I have not heard any debarment due to low eyesight. But is it not correctable to 6/6 after wearing of glasses? These days there are laser surgeries that can correct this. Have you attempted this? Fundamentally speaking, there are restrictions to join as pilot in a flying school but not in engineering, to the best of my knowledge. Best wishes to you.

Hello Om Gupta, It's very nice to SEE your interest in becoming an astronaut for India. However in the present scenario ISRO or the government of India have selected pilots from the Indian Air Force to the astronauts for the manned mission which ISRO is planning to launch. There is no college through which you can go and then become an astronaut. In the initial periods all the countries who have sent humans to the space have selected pilots from their respective air forces as the astronauts. So if your intention is to become an astronaut then you have to first become pilot in the Indian Air Force. Best wishes to you.
