After the declaration of AFCAT results, a merit list is prepared by the IAF for candidates who scored qualifying marks in online tests. After several weeks, qualified candidates receive a call letter for an AFSB interview. The candidates are required to select an AFSB date, time and venue. AFSB Interview is conducted in three stages. The final merit list is prepared based on the marks secured in the online test and AFSB interview. Dehradun (1 AFSB), Mysuru (2 AFSB), Gandhinagar (3 AFSB), and Varanasi (4 AFSB) are the centers for AFSB interviews.

After some weeks of the declaration of results, the interview process for AFCAT takes place. The time period it takes for an AFSB interview to get underway after the declaration of AFCAT results can vary. After the declaration of AFCAT results, qualified candidates are required to select the AFSB date, time and venue. AFSB Interview is conducted in three stages. Candidates had to login to the official website to check the result for AFCAT. Steps to check AFCAT result are as follows:• Go to the official website of IAF.• Click on AFCAT Result link on the home page. • Login using email Id and password. • On successful login, the results would be displayed on the screen.• Download and take a printout of the AFCAT result scorecard.

The testing body establishes the AFCAT marking scheme. The marking scheme shows the points that candidates receive for right answers and the points that are subtracted for incorrect responses. The AFCAT exam is worth 300 total points. The following is the AFCAT marking scheme: Those who provide accurate replies receive three marks. The minimum good score for AFCAT exam 165-175. Candidates need to secure the required score inorder to qualify the exam. Candidates qualifying the online exam are called for AFSB Interview. Candidates need to practice well inorder to qualify the exam. A good score in AFCAT can be categorised as follows:Minimum Good Score: 165-175, indicating a basic understanding of the subjects.Competitive Score: 185-195, showing a stronger grasp of the content.Excellent Score: 200 and above, reflecting high proficiency and thorough preparation.

AFCAT 1 result 2024 was released on March 8, 2024. The result was announced on the official website-afcat.cdac.in. However, the direct link to check the result is provided on this page. Candidates can download their results by logging with the required credentials. Candidates qualifying the AFCAT exam are called for AFSB interview. IAF conducts AFCAT exam to recruit Class 1 Gazetted Officers in Flying and Ground Duties for both Technical and Non-Technical branches.

AFCAT Exam was introduced in the year 2011 as an OMR-based paper but in 2019 the Computer Based Test (CBT) was initiated. In 2022, normalisation process was introduced in the exam process.
