The annual package offered to AFCAT officers depends upon their rank and years of service. All AFCAT officere, receive a starting salary of Rs 56,100 - Rs 1,77,500 annually. Alongwith, they also get a fixed monthly allowance of Rs 15,500. There are dearness allowance and other allowances as well. AFCAT officers get allowances like: Field Area AllowanceHigh Altitude AllowanceHousing Allowance Transport Allowance Flying Allowance (for Air Force Officers)

Air Force Officers are eligible for a number of allowances in addition to their AFCAT pay, depending on their posting location and type of duty. The Flying Allowance granted to Flying Branch Officers and the Technical Allowance given to Technical Branch Officers are among the allowances to which Air Force Officers are entitled. Additionally, candidates are eligible for allowances like Siachen, Special Force, Island Special Duty, Area, Test Pilot & Flight Test Engineer, Special Force, Special Compensatory (Hill area), and Remote Locality Allowance.
