The Indian Air Force prescribes the AFCAT syllabus. The authority responsible for exams maintains the authority to establish and modify the syllabus. General awareness, English verbal ability, quantitative ability, reasoning, and the military aptitude test are all included in the AFCAT test syllabus. The Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT) is not required for all candidates taking the AFCAT. Applicants who are seeking in technical positions must take the Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT). In order to advance to the next round of the selection process, these aspirants must meet the EKT Cut Off scores.50 correct questions will fetch you 150 marks which is more than enough to crack afcat exam. Candidates who are applying for technical exams have to face EKT exam along with the afcat exam. If you fail in EKT exam though you have cleared the afcat exam, you won't be eligible for technical branch in AFSB interview.

No, there is no sectional cutoff in the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) . Candidates have to score above the overall minimum qualifying marks in order to be eligible for admission process and counseling. The AFCAT exam is administered by the Indian Air Force (IAF) in two shifts: morning and afternoon. The morning shift for AFCAT runs from 9.45 a.m. to 11.45 a.m. AFCAT shift time for the afternoon shift is 2.45 pm to 4.45 pm. Candidates must complete 100 questions from the General Awareness, Verbal Ability in English, Numerical Ability and Reasoning, and Military Aptitude Test during the two-hour AFCAT exam. The AFCAT 1 (2024) exam has already been conducted. The Indian Air Force (IAF) announced the AFCAT 2 dates. However, the another round for AFCAT 2 exam for 2024 will bw held over three days: August 9th, 10th, and 11th.If you're interested in appearing for the AFCAT exam, you'll need to wait for the announcement regarding AFCAT 1 (2025). The notification for AFCAT exams is usually released several months before the exam date.

Air Force Officers are eligible for a number of allowances in addition to their AFCAT pay, depending on their posting location and type of duty. The Flying Allowance granted to Flying Branch Officers and the Technical Allowance given to Technical Branch Officers are among the allowances to which Air Force Officers are entitled. Additionally, candidates are eligible for allowances like Siachen, Special Force, Island Special Duty, Area, Test Pilot & Flight Test Engineer, Special Force, Special Compensatory (Hill area), and Remote Locality Allowance.
