The difficulty of the AFCAT exam is considered to be moderate to tough, depending on various factors. However,  If you have a strong foundation in mathematics, reasoning, and current affairs, you might find it easier. Some sections like Numerical Ability can be trickier than others. The high number of applicants can make it competitive. Overall, most of the sources rate it as moderate, achievable with strategic preparation.

The selection process is based on the AFCAT exam cut-off marks. Notification of advancement to the next round of selection is given to those who achieve a score at least equal to the cutoff points. The cutoff is the lowest number of AFCAT qualifying marks needed for applicants to pass the test and move on to the next round of selection. To calculate the AFCAT threshold, 300 marks are utilised. A 150-mark system is used to calculate the EKT cutoff. In 2022, the AFCAT cutoff score was 157 out of 300. The 2019 AFCAT cutoff score was 133 out of 300, and the 2021 cutoff score was 165 out of 300.

Indeed, a score of 191 is above normal and really high. If you pass the AFSB interview, your name will be added to the merit list. Based on the results of the online exam, the AFSB interview, and the medical exam, the final merit list is created. The amount of difficulty, the number of openings, and the number of test-takers are among the variables that go into determining AFCAT scores. For the AFCAT exam, the cutoff marks are determined out of 300, however for the EKT, they are determined out of 150 marks. The AFCAT exam has 300 total points, of which you must score higher than the cutoff. The typical AFCAT cutoff is between 120 and 1
