Anna University is one of the best colleges for engineering in India.
It is known for old and architectural infrastructure faculty with great experience and knowledge facilities provided by it like sports complex, Wi-Fi and labs are well equipped by the instruments and machines.
There are many colleges which are affiliated to Anna University.
Agriculture and irrigation engineering is one of the new courses which has been started after 2010 due to this there are not many companies which have been interested to take these engineers in the companies.
Agriculture and irrigation engineering deals with the problems of agriculture and the irrigation processes of the field and maintaining them.
Placement of the students of agriculture and irrigation engineering is one of the worst placements that can a student can have.
Placement of the students of agriculture and irrigation engineering is about 2 to 3 LPA therefore most of the students do don't take the jobs of but go for higher studies in different fields like MBA or UPSC, etc.

So, practically one should go for the chemical branch for a better lifestyle in future. Also, it is difficult for one to get into chemical than agriculture.
At last, whatever branch you chose from the both, pursue it from a well-renowed government or automous institution or top private institution otherwise it may be a struggle for you after 4 years.

The placement from TNAU for agricultural engineering is really very nice as compared to many other deemed educational institutions and private institutions teaching agriculture as a part of their syllabus. Being a central government-funded institution, it has a large syllabus and a great pool of knowledge from experienced and skilled faculty members. Also, the college is providing regular workshops and seminars to produce skilled farmers as well as agricultural corporates. Coming to the placement statistics of recent years which is continuously rising accompanied by ever-increasing demand from the industries having an average placement of Rs. 6 lakhs per annum and around highest being up to 12 lakhs which are considered very nice from our non-core branch.
