Hello,
To become district agriculture officer and agriculture commissioner, the eligibility is:
1. Age Limit: 21 years to 30 years.
2. Educational qualification: Graduation in agriculture, veterinary, fisheries, dairy horticulture, etc.
3. Other rules are applied according to the state public service commission.
You can also apply for bank jobs like IBPS agriculture officer. 4 years degree is mandatory for all the candidates, who wish to apply for agriculture field officer.

B.Tech from one of the top 100 colleges offers great jobs and certainly has more lucrative opportunities and good salaries compared to B.Sc in agriculture since its a very niche course.

MBA in agribusiness is the best option that you can choose. But, it is better that you pursue your MBA from a top B-school for their quality education and deserving placements. So, you can try for IIM – A and IIM - L.

Below mentioned is the eligibility requirements for M.Sc courses at IARI:
Eligible candidate must be a science graduate and have obtained the required qualification under 10+2+4/ 10+2+3/ 10+1+4 system. Qualification requirements may vary slightly with the stream of study.

There are number of government jobs are available for graduates. BE/B.Tech graduates may join agriculture departments of different state governments. They may easily join land officer post in this department. Apart from that, other government departments, where graduates may find jobs are:
1. Food department.
2. Research departments.
3. Dairy boards (State wise).
4. Coir board, etc.
In private sector:
1. Fertilizer firms.
2. Research and development firms.
3. Agriculture machinery manufacturing firms.
4. Food products processing and manufacturing firms, etc. are the prime recruiters.
The average starting salary is between Rs.2.5LPA to Rs.4.5 LPA
