The school of agricultural Science, Lovely Professional University is ICAR recognized. You may know that in terms of agricultural education and research in India, the ICAR matrix agricultural education and research in the country under the auspices of the Department of Agricultural Research and Education (DARE), Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare (Government of India), whose President is the Union Minister of Agriculture. It also grants affiliation to Indian educational institutions. The LPU School of Agriculture was authorized for accreditation with one of the highest grades out of all eight universities reviewed. Among all universities, LPU had the highest rating of 3.42/4 from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). Lovely Professional Institution (LPU) is the first private university in India to receive ICAR accreditation. This demonstrates the department's and school's overall strength and credibility. Talking about my experience, at LPU you will get the desired exposure to the farms of LPU that what LPU alumni say, where you will come to know in deep about agriculture through hands-on sessions. As far as the programme is concerned, the LPU agriculture programme is designed with a target of the holistic development of students. School of Agriculture offers programs with an up-to-date curriculum designed to suit the aspirations of agricultural industries as well as major research and development sectors. The laboratories of the School are world-class. The dedicated faculty gives the students hands-on training experience by assigning live projects (Agricultural work) in university agricultural research farms and experiential learning on different agricultural units. It includes disciplines like Agronomy, Horticulture Genetics and Plant Breeding, Soil Science, Plant Pathology, Entomology, Economics, Extension, etc. The major emphasis of the programme is to get the students acquainted with knowledge and hands-on experiences in the above-mentioned discipline and apply that knowledge to high-value agricultural production in a sustainable manner. or (c) 2 years Diploma in Agriculture after 10th or equivalent+LPUNEST. Students are engaged towards evergreen agriculture, keeping in view the RAWE programme to build interpersonal skills. The students are exposed to Commercial farms to get know-how that creates an opportunity for students to engage and tone up their endurance, confidence and management skills. Emphasis on case studies and interpersonal-based teaching to develop skills in analytical thinking and reflective judgment by reading and discussing complex, real-life scenarios are given. Some of the popular Job roles in this domain: Plantation Manager Officer in Quality Assurance in Related Fields, Subject Matter Specialist in different Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs)Farm Manager Research Officer, Agriculture Loan Officer in Banks, Biochemist, Food Scientist, Environmental Engineer, Agricultural Lawyer, Agricultural Operations Manager, Animal Geneticist, Agronomy Sales Manager. The highest package offered was 19.25 LPA.

Candidates for admission to different Bachelors Degree programme of this University shall be selected through Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination conducted each year by the government. Of Bihar for 85% of the seat. For 15% of the seat, selection would be made by All India Entrance Examination conducted by ICAR. Eligibility : The candidate should have a minimum qualification shall be 10+2 or equivalent with Physics Chemistry Biology/ Agriculture/ Math from a recognised Indian Board / University.
