Yes, University of Agricultural Sciences (UAS) is best in Sirsi. Some of the reasons for that are:1) It is a old and reputed college. The alumni network is very strong.2) The annual fees is also less as compared with other similar colleges.3) It provides decent placement opportunities to its students. Many recruiter companies visit the college campus.4) The campus life is also great at UAS. University of Agricultural Sciences (UAS), Dharwad accepts the ranks of the KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test) for the admission of candidates into the B.Tech and B.Sc program.The cutoff for B.Sc at University of Agricultural Sciences (UAS), Dharwad was 33354 all India rank in KCET 2023 for general category. Yes, you are eligible to take admission into University of Agricultural Sciences (UAS), Dharwad with 70% in ICAR because the eligibility criteria is that the aspiring candidate must've scored atleast 50% in 12th board examination or equivalent 10+2 examination. The exams that are accepted are ICAR AIEEA, KCET, CBSE 12th and Karnataka 2nd PUC. But keep in mind that by just being eligible doesn't necessarily means that you'll surely get a seat in University of Agricultural Sciences (UAS). There will be further more selection rounds after which UAS will finally release the list of students who secured a seat at UAS.

The admissions to UAS are done either on the basis of the entrance exam rank or the basis of the academic merit. It depends upon the candidate that which course does he wants to join. The admission to B.Tech course of UAS Dharwad is based on the performance of the candidate in the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET). For other UG programs, the admission is based on the academic merit of the student. UAS conducts an entrance exam for admissions into PG and PhD programmes. Last time they released their official placement statistics was in 2020. In 2020 the highest package was 8 Lacs per annum and median package was around 5 Lacs per annum. According to the reviews written by students, the highest package for 2023 batch during placements was near 11 Lacs per annum. Some of the top recruiters of University of Agricultural Sciences (UAS), Dharwad were UPL, Bayer, Syngenta, Corteva Agriscience, etc.UAS has not released their placement statistics on their official website since 2020. In 2020 the highest package was about 8 Lacs per annum and the median package was around 5 Lacs per annum. According to the college reviews written by the students of UAS, it is reported that the highest package for the 2023 passed out batch was near about 11 Lacs per annum and the median package was 6.5 Lacs per annum. Overall the placement scenario has improved since 2020. Placement wise UAS is a decent university.

The seat intake for the BSc program at the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore is 240 seats, out of which a number of seats are reserved for state students, which may change every year. The university has a merit-based admission process, and the eligibility criteria for the program are a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in 10+2. The university also provides reservation of seats for SC/ST/other backward class candidates.
