A graduate/ post-graduate in this field can get appointed as an Agricultural Research Scientist, Agriculture Officer, Production Manager, Farm Manager, etc. Interested students can also opt for jobs in the field of teaching, banking, and insurance. Competitive exams such as UPSC FCI, and other government jobs abound after B.Sc. In Agriculture. Public and private companies also offer jobs, many who come for campus placements too. Options go on to journalism in the agricultural sector, state government jobs, insurance sector jobs, research, and teaching.

First of all the Agriculture course is based on practical knowledge. If you are thinking that you will gain knowledge in these 4 years, then you are highly mistaken. Because Bookish knowledge will never help you once you start working in the field. Indian agriculture education system is still teaching some rough techniques which are not been practiced in the field because most of the chemicals are banned in the field. Agriculture colleges should emphasize actual practical knowledge rather than assignments. If you want to gain actual field knowledge, I would suggest you please go to the industrial training in agriculture companies during college vacations or semester break. This will be help you to learn practical knowledge. Exams, assignments, reports, viva, practical etc. Are important but practical knowledge are more important than bookish knowledge. Sorry may be I am disappointing you but this is the real scenario.

Campus Placements for the session Batch 2022 saw some big names such as Microsoft, Amazon, IBM, Hewlett Packard, SAP Labs, Samsung, L&T, Arcesium, Wipro, Flipkart recruiting engineering students from Chandigarh University. A record number of 3750 engineering students were selected during the campus placements in which more than 240 multinational companies participated. In total there was a jump of 30% in number of total companies visiting the CU campus for campus placements of engineering students while there was jump of 70% in the number of core branch companies which selected the fresh talent. Moreover the total number of offers made to the engineering students also saw a rise of 60% in comparison to last year. Of the total 240 Engineering sector companies, more than 400+ MNCs offered pay-package of more than 5 LPA while number of companies offering package of more than 10 LPA touched 100+ this year. On the merits of their hard work and potential, the brilliant students of Chandigarh University have set a new benchmark by securing an international package of Rs. 1.7 crores and a national package of Rs. 52.11 LPA.
