My cousin brother is pursuing B.Sc. (Hons)Agriculture from LPU itself. He told Lovely Professional University has become India's first private university to get ICAR accreditation due to getting one of the highest Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) Rating of 3.42/4, among all Universities. Both are the same and both are 4 years programme. Mostly B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture is preferred by the students. Getting a good job depends on various factors like from where you have done your Graduation, your skills, your knowledge about the field, the Industrial experience and exposure if you have any. There are ample of opportunities in this field both in Government and in Private sector. A graduate/ post-graduate in this field can get appointed as an Agricultural Research Scientist, Agriculture Officer, Production Manager, Farm Manager, etc. Interested students can also opt for jobs in the field of teaching, banking, and insurance.
