There are no provision for payment seats in ICAR institutions or admissions given under ICAR quota (15 percent in UG) in various universities. Some State Agricultural Universities however provide limited payment seats in sought after courses. Details can be had from the site of respective university.

After completion of its cenetary year in 2010 university was renamed on his founder name as SHIATS (Sam Higginbottom Institute of Agriculture Technology and Sciences- Deemed-to be-University). And finally, in 2015, Institute got State University status from Deemed University.
