AIBE Cut-off

If You Fail then you will not be issued the Certificate of Practice. The AIBE 19 cutoff marks for the General/OBC category have been revised for AIBE 2024 Exam. The BCI has increased AIBE cutoff from 40 per cent to 45 per cent for general category candidates.The council has announced the results of an exam based on 93 questions instead of 100. For the General/OBC category, the passing mark is calculated as 45% of 93 marks, which rounds up to 42 marks. If a student fails to qualify All India Bar Examination AIBE then they can appear for the next session of the examination. Qualifying for the All India Bar Examination AIBE is necessary to practice law in India.

However, AIBE 18 qualifying cutoff 2023 for the OBC category is 42 per cent.

Following the release of the results, the Bar Council of India (BCI) released the cut-off scores for the AIBE 18 exam. Declared on March 26, 2024, is the AIBE 18. For the AIBE 2023 Exam, the General/OBC category's AIBE 18 cutoff marks have been updated. The BCI raised the general category candidates' AIBE threshold point from 40% to 45%. For the SC/ST candidates to be eligible for the bar exam, they must receive a score of 37 percent out of 100. In the OBC group, the AIBE 18 qualifying criteria for 2023 is 42%. To demonstrate their eligibility for the bar test, candidates will only receive the Certificate of Practice if they meet the cutoff marks.

As of my knowledge cutoff in September 2021, there is no fixed cut-off mark for the AIBE (All India Bar Examination). The Bar Council of India, which conducts the exam, does not release any official cut-off marks. However, candidates must score a minimum of 40% marks to pass the exam. The AIBE is an open book exam, and candidates are allowed to carry their study materials and notes to the exam center. However, candidates must ensure that they have a thorough understanding of the concepts and topics as they will be required to apply their knowledge to solve the questions. The exam is conducted in multiple-choice format, and candidates must answer 100 questions within a duration of 3 hours and 30 minutes. The questions are based on various legal subjects such as constitutional law, contract law, criminal law, family law, and professional ethics and conduct. Candidates who pass the AIBE exam are awarded a Certificate of Practice by the Bar Council of India, which allows them to practice law in India. Candidates who do not pass the exam can appear for the exam again in the next session by paying the requisite fees.
