If you have PCM in your class 12th, and you had passed your 12th with minimum 60%, then you should definitely give a try to NDA IAF.

Hello Shashank, To join Indian Army as an officer, commerce stream students has two ways:
1. After class 12th, you can take entry through NDA.
2. After completing graduation, you can take entry through CDSE, NCC, JAG Entry, etc. In case of joining Indian Air Force and Indian Navy as officers, there is no provision available for commerce student right after completing class 12th. They may join Indian Navy or IAF after graduation though. Yes, you can join Airforce by applying for AFCAT examination. Commerce stream students may join Indian Air Force as officers (In ground duty branches) after graduation, by appearing for AFCAT examination.

Eligibility for the exam Education : Graduation (min 3 years) in any discipline with min 60% marks and have passed Maths and Physics as subject at 10+2 level BE/ B.Tech from a recognised University with min 60% marks. Age Limit : 20 to 24 years.

Education: Graduation (min 3 years) in any discipline with min 60% marks and have passed Maths and Physics as a subject at 10+2 level B.E/ B.Tech from a recognized University with min 60% marks. Age Limit : 20 to 24 years.

For joining as officer, you need to go through NDA exam, and afterwards if you are graduate, then there is also direct recruitment exam held by air force. All you need to prepare for exam, physical and interview. All the best.

Hi,
If your age is under 19 years, then to apply for NDA exam through air force and get selected if it's not less than 19 years, then you should first complete your B.Tech or graduation, then you can apply for different graduation or graduate entries forgetting entry into Indian Air Force Academy.

You can. Join IAF through following modes:
1. NDA examination
2. CDSE examination
3. AFCAT examination
4. Airmen group examination -x and y
5. Direct sportperson entry
6. All India rallies of IAF for airmen selection in different trades.

If you are looking for direct entry then probably no. Since you failed in one subject it would take time to clear that and you can become overaged. Or you may not be able to get enough marks to qualified for SSB. The percentage required for direct entry are quite high and are always above 90%. You can however prepare for NDA later.
