There are various ways to become an officer in the Indian Air force after completing your 12th you can apply for National defence academy exam which is conducted twice every year and after clearing the written exam there is an interview of 5 days after getting recommended and getting medical fit, final merit list is prepared. If you get selected in the merit list then you can complete training at NDA and become an air force officer. There are other ways by which you can become an air force officer after completing graduation and post graduation. You can also apply through NCC entry.

If you want to join Indian Airforce without Maths and Physics then you can only apply for Angiveer (Other than Science subject) exam and after serving for 4 years, can get a chance to join Air Force permanently but you cannot become an Airforce Officer directly without having Maths and Physics at 10+2 level.

Yes, you can definitely be part of the Indian Air Force through the National Defense Academy (NDA). The process to join the Air Force through NDA is:
1. You have to appear for an NDA exam, which is conducted by the UPSC twice a year.
2. Your age should not be more than 19 years old when applying for the NDA.
3. You should have completed 12th grade with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. You can also apply while pursuing your 12th.
4. You will be sent to training at the National Defense Academy at Khadakwasla after getting shortlisted.

Eligibility to join Indian Air Force under AFCAT:
Age: Candidates aspiring to join the Air force through AFCAT exams must be between the age of 20 to 24 years. Nationality: Indian
Marital status: Single. Qualification: Must be a graduate from a recognised institution with at least 60% marks or a similar degree with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent. Final year students are also eligible to apply for the exams.

First of all there should not be a comparison between these two roles as they are meant for different purposes. Fighter is for fighting the enemy with a single man and with lot of weapons carrying with him. Commercial pilots are also at risk due to weather conditions and other aspects. Fighter plane more faster than commercial planes. Passenger safety is given more priority as they paid for that trust kept on pilots fighter pilot has trust and responsibility of more people as he has to safe guard the defence of the country. Entry into the Indian Navy is mostly through entrance exams like NDA/ NDA (Naval Academy) after class 12 or CDSE/ INET/ NCC entry after graduation. However, there is a provision of direct entry as well after class 12, namely (10+2) B
Indian Navy Entrance Test (INET) is the officers' entry under the control of IHQ MoD (Navy)/ DMPR and caters for both Permanent Commission (PC) and Short Service Commission (SSC). The INET will be conducted twice a year. (a) INET. INET (Officer) is a computer based written examination.
