Cons: Low starting pay (expect $12-15/hr nationally), high labor, high levels of responsibility, almost no room for error, poor union representation (if you even have a union), constant time crunch to "get the job done" by leads and supervisors, pressures from your bosses to deviate from the book, work long hours, work nights, weekends, and holidays, working in extreme heat and cold, working in confined spaces, high probability for layoffs, high probability of having to move (sometimes out-of-State) to find a job, but the biggest stress will always be "when will the plane be done"?

Yes, there are tremendous job opportunity after doing this course successfully. Not only in India but in entire world,not a single aircraft can fly without the approval of a Aircraft Maintenance Engineer. So, with every aircraft coming in India needs team of Aircraft Maintenance Engineers. All you have to do is clear your exams on time.
