Aircraft maintenance engineering is actually not an engineering course approved by AICTE. It's a course that teaches you about maintenance of civil aircraft and enables DGCA certification.
Prospects are of course good.

Yes, DGCA certification/ license at the end of three year course of AME is good enough to get you a job. It's actually the license that is of vital importance.

On the contrary, it's reported that more than average salary is offered to those who join as maintenance staff of commercial airlines after completion of this course.
