AME is really a prestigious course, and a number of foreign universities are providing this course. University of South Wales, UK, Centennial College, Algonquin College and Canadore College in Canada, Air New Zealand Aviation Institute, New Zealand and many more. If you want to study in Australia, you can opt for Air Australia.

Aircraft Maintenance Engineering and Aeronautical engineering courses are different. AME means one would be trained in the maintainance activities of aircraft and which should lead to a job with an airline. Of course, one needs to obtain a liscence from DGCA for working in India. Aeronautical Engineering on the other hand is a different cup of tea. It teaches you different aspects of a flying object. IIT-Mumbai is the best option for AE. For AME, there are plenty of colleges in each state.
