Several technological universities including the IITs offer courses in aeronautical engineering both at undergraduate and post-graduate level. The basic eligibility criteria for BE / B.Tech programme is 10+2 Science (Physics, Chemistry and Maths). .

Eligibility for admissions to AME courses is 12th with PCM from any recognized board. NIOS is surely a recognized board and you will have no difficulty in getting admission in the three year AME course based on this. Hi, Of course you can. The eligibility of the course is only class 12th with PCM, where as you are already a graduate engineer. In addition, there is no upper age limit for AME. Presently in India, Civil Aviation Sector is growing at an average rate of 15% per annum. This in turn is causing almost all the airlines to purchase aircraft, which in turn is causing them to employ aircraft maintenance engineers in big numbers. Therefore, as far as the job prospects are concerned, I feel there are much more prospects after AME rather than after B Tech. Best wishes to you.
