Hello Ankit,
Aircraft maintenance engineering is a 3 years duration course, which leads to obtaining degree of B.Sc in aircraft maintenance engineering either mechanical or avionics. The basic eligibility criteria is having passed class 12th with PCM. The fees for this course ranges from about rupees 50,000 per year to sometimes RS. 1 lakh per year. This is over and above what you may have to pay for hostel and some other expenses which you May incur. AME is the short form of aircraft maintenance engineer. This is a 3 year course leading to the degree of B.Sc. C in Mechanical or avionics subjects. Presently the Civil Aviation Sector in India is consistently showing almost 15 % growth rate due to this the requirement of aircraft has increased. As a result of the majority of the Indian Civil Aviation companies have given orders to acquire aircraft. Now with these many more aircraft in the country there is bound to be a huge requirement of professionals having B.Sc. In A.M.E. These professionals get around rupees 6 lacs as package per year.
