Hello Karthik, Its nice to see your query. Many students are getting confused. Shakespeare had famously said "What's in a name. A rose is a rose ". But in India institutes try to mislead by giving fancy sounding names to courses. Any engineering course needs to be approved by AICTE & is of four years duration. Degree of B.Tech or BE is awarded after successful completion. On the other hand aircraft main courses are approved by DGCA and are of three years duration. Degree of B.Sc. Is normally awarded. Hence rather than going by nomenclature please look for these indicators. Aircraft Main courses deal with imparting knowledge about how t

If you believe in yourself that you will improve in a year and you can improve your marks then you must drop a year. But remember that one year is a very long time. Students can't concentrate on their studies (sometimes not in all cases) properly because they are in their homes for 24 hours. If you utilize your one year properly and concentrate on your studies then you will definitely get high marks in JEE Mains.
If you don't want to drop then you can go for private colleges or state level colleges. You must analyse your family financial conditions as well. I would suggest you to think about your future regarding the financial conditio

Hello Prajakta,
There is actually nothing like B.Tech in AC maintenance. One becomes either aircraft maintenance engineer or AME by doing a three year BSc degree in aircraft maintenance or become an aeronautical engineer by doing a 4-year BE in an engineering college. For AME qualification is12th but many institutions accept diploma holders treating them as equivalent to 12th. So getting admission for AME after Diploma is not a must. I would advice you to get in touch with Pravara management for clarifications.
