AME is originally started and run by IAF to cater their need related to their aircrafts. IAF conducts an entrance exam called Airmen exam. 5 years term. You will be paid and taught engineering. After successfully finish absorbed into OAF as commissioned officer with a designation Aircraft maintenance engineer. Without your signature no aircraft can make a fly. You will always certify that the craft is worth flying.
But, nowadays, private players also come into this. No comments.
