Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering will fetch you certain types of jobs. It can lead you to obtain degree also and then you would be in a different sphere. AME is a totally different type of education. During this course, you are taught about the different aspects of maintenance of civilian aircraft. Also invariably, the institute enables you to obtain a licence from DGCA which is a must.
Presently in India, almost all aviation companies have announced plans to expand their fleet. This, in turn, is bound to increase opportunities of employment in this sector and AME prepares you for this.

All the courses of aircraft maintenance engineering start after completion of 10+2. Hence, I would advise you to study well in the next two years so that you can comfortably get admission.

Sha Shib Group of Institutes have quite a name in the domain of education and it's perfectly all right to seek admission. Placements presently at least are quite but what may happen after 3 years that nobody can predict.

Eligibility for the course that you are seeking admission to is 10+2, Hence if you have completed 12th then surely and if not the perhaps if diploma is considered equivalent to 12th then you can get admission.

The institutions offering AME courses almost invariably enable students to obtain license from DGCA to work on aircraft. There is enough scope to get employment at present.

You can join the Pilot course directly, but if you do AME before joining Pilot course, it will give you more exposure to aircrafts and their handling techniques and will be more advantageous.
