Aircraft Manufacturing and Maintenance Engineering Scope

The Bombay Flying Club offers AME certification course along with B.Sc in aeronautics which is a degree course affiliated to Mumbai University. Admissions are offered to Students with 12th Science and subjects Physics and Mathematics . there is no Entrance Exam for admission at The Bombay flying club. Minimum percentage requirements is aggregate of 45% in 12 board exams. The Licence is issued by DGCA after the candidate clears the new module pattern exams for relevant B1 (mechanical i.e mainframe structures and engines) or B2 (avionics i.e ES/IS/RN) licence. The Licence is not issued by the college. Both B1 and B2 are equally important and equally in demand in the airlines.

* Job prospects after completing Aircraft Maintenance Engineering :
- Diploma holders in Aeronautics work as technicians in the Engineering department. Employment is available with Air India, Pawan Hans, Helicopter Corporation of India and flying clubs, private airlines and government-owned air service.
- Airlines Aeronautical Mechanics get employment in organisations such as Hindustan Aeronautical Ltd, Defence Research and Development Laboratories, National Aeronautical Lab, Aeronautical Develop¬ment Establishment, Civil Aviation Department etc.
