This is a technical course. Students who have passed 10+2 Science stream (with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects) with minimum 50% aggregate marks are eligible to pursue this course. Diploma holders (with minimum 50% aggregate marks) are also eligible to pursue it. Note: Minimum marks criteria may vary from one institute to another. To become an Aircraft Mechanic or an Aviation Technician, one gas to undergo three years AME course after completion of 10+2 with physics & mathematics. These courses are conducted by many institutions in India. In some places, there is entrance exam while at others admission is based on marks obtained in 12th exam. Once eligible, a student can select either of the two streams of mechanical or avionics. Merely passing the course does not make one eligible to work on the aircraft straight away. I think you are asking about aircraft maintenance engineer. This is normally a B.Sc course for which eligibility is 10+2 with PCM.

This is not a regular Engineering college. It enables you to obtain DGCA liscense after completion of course.

Diploma in Aeronautical engineering is different than aircraft maintenance course. Former is controlled by AICTE while later is controlled by DGCA.
You will have to beseech your college to get some training. You will not be allowed to touch any commercial aircraft till you do not have liscense from DGCA.
