Hello,
To become an Aircraft Mechanic or an Aviation Technician, one gas to undergo three years AME course after completion of 10+2 with physics & mathematics. These courses are conducted by many institutions in India. In some places, there is entrance exam while at others admission is based on marks obtained in 12th exam. Once eligible, a student can select either of the two streams of mechanical or avionics. Merely passing the course does not make one eligible to work on the aircraft straight away. Hello Khazi,
Diploma in Aeronautical engineering is different than aircraft maintenance course. Former is controlled by AICTE while later is controlled by DGCA.
You will have to beseech your college to get some training. You will not be allowed to touch any commercial aircraft till you do not have liscense from DGCA.
