NIELIT Aizawl (formerly DOEACC Centre, Aizawl) was established in 2001 as a government/public college. Being a government college, the college's fees is not very high. Over the years, The college has upgraded itself to become a modern college equipped with all the latest facilities.

So, considering the latest round cutoff, candidates seeking admission to IIMC Aizawl must secure a rank upto 1006 for PGDM admission.

There are only two courses offered by the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, which are as follows:Postgraduate Diploma in Digital Media, andPostgraduate Diploma in Journalism (English language)The duration of both of these courses is 1 year, divided into 2 semesters. The number of seats in both of these courses has increased from 20 to 30 from the academic session 2024–25. Also, students have high regard for both of them. According to me, pursuing Diploma at IIMC Aizawl is a pretty good choice as it is a well-reputed institute for mass communication and the curriculum is also really good. If you'll compare it with other colleges which offer this course like Amity, DU, etc. it's a much better choice in less money as Amity will take somewhat around 1.5–2 LPA and some colleges in DU will take around 50K per year. So in my opinion pursuing it at IIMC is a very reasonable option both due to its less fee structure and its reputable standing than many colleges and also it offers a good deal of placements so yes it's a good choice and you should go with i

The 2024 cutoff for the PG Diploma at IIMC Aizawl is expected to be 765–775. The overall cutoff for IIMC in 2023 is 598–702 rank.
