AKTU - Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (UPTU) Admission Process

The requirements for direct admission to any seats that remain open following entrance examination counselling in the first year will be announced periodically. The entrance exam is the primary method of admission for the AKTU B.Tech program. National or state-level entrance exams such as JEE Main, CUET, KEAM, or IPU CET are accepted by the university.

AKU Indore has nine departments that are housed at its main campus. These departments collectively offer more than 25 courses at UG, PG and Diploma level, including BE, BSc, BA, MTech, MA, MBA, etc., among various others. APJ Abdul Kalam University offers courses at the PhD, PG, UG, Diploma/Polytechnic level. Dr APJ Abdul Kalam University offers more than 12 courses in the stream of Design, Engineering, and Science among others.

CUET PG is the accepting exam for AKTU MBA admission. The CUET-PG examination is scheduled to be conducted between March 11 to March 28, 2023. The examination specific details will be informed to candidates through the Information Bulletin of respective examinations, which will be published at the time of launch of the CUET PG Registration Forms. For seeking admission to the programme, candidates should possess a BE/ BTech or equivalent degree in relevant stream with a minimum of 60% aggregate (54% for SC/ ST candidates) along with a valid UPSEE rank. GATE-qualified candidates are also considered for AKTU M.Tech admission. However, such candidates first need to undergo a counselling process along with UPSEE-qualified candidates for seat allotment.

There is no upper age limit for pursuing UG programmes offered at AKTU but candidates need to be at least 16 years of age as of December 31 of the current academic year to pursue any of these courses. 

AKTU admission to BA course is based on the merit in the last qualifying exam. Candidates must complete Class 12 with at least 45% aggregate to apply for BA course. Aspirants must hold the documents proving their eligibility for verification at later stages of admission. After completion of the selection rounds, candidates need to pay a course fee to confirm their seat in the university.
