The selection to AKTU admission is based on entrance exam score. Candidates need to complete a minimum of Class 12 to apply for UG courses whereas, graduation is required for PG programmes. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University offers two UG programmes in the streams of Medical and Health Sciences, i.e. BPharm. Admission to BPharm programme is based on a candidate's UPSEE score (now CUET UG). To be eligible candidates must have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/ Biotechnology/ Biology as compulsory subjects with a minimum of 50% aggregate. Diploma in Pharmacy course recognised by the Pharmacy Council of India u/s 12 of The Pharmacy Act, securing a minimum of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) in aggregate is also another eligibility criteria. The accepted entrance exam is CUET for BPharm course.
