Annamalai is UGC and Ministry of HRD approved, so I would recommend for Annamalai distance learning. I am not saying that Alagappa University is not good, but my father has done his MBA from Annamalai University in 1990. General MCA, you will have a full time 3 years course but Lateral entry will take your 2 years only. After admission in MCA with lateral entry.
You have to give first year exams also with your 2nd year exams. After completing these two you have same value of degree.

A candidate applying for M.Ed program at Alagappa University must have a B.Ed degree with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate. For reserved categories, i.e. BC/MBC/SC/ST, the minimum percentage required in B.Ed. is 50% marks. Candidates who are appearing in their final year/semester or are awaiting their final result are also eligible to apply.
