The duration of the Computer Engineering programme is 3 years. The programme prepares the students for an Information Technology (IT) career in the private and public sectors. For general English language requirements, an IELTS score ranging from 6.0-6.5 is required for international students. Other than IELTS the tests accepted are TOEFL iBT, PTE Academic and Duolingo.

Algonquin College opens for applications in the next academic year. If the student wants to start in September 2023, then they can apply to start from October 2022. If the student starts their application early, then it allows them to have more time to gather the required materials such as transcripts, English language scores and to complete any other requirements. The Fall 2023 application has an early acceptance date of November 1.

Yes, universities do take a close look at the number of backlogs. Most of the top good universities do not accept more than 6 (or 8) backlogs. For top universities, it would be max 2. Secondly, they would also look at the CGPA in the last 2 years (4 semesters).
