To be eligible to pursue BTech at Aligarh Muslim University, candidates must fulfill the following eligibility criteria specified by the university:Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination of AMU/Class 12/equivalent examination with a minimum of 50%  aggregate in English, Physics, Chemistry and MathematicsORDiploma in Engineering from AMU or an equivalent examination with at least 50% marks in aggregate.

To get admission at AMU for BTech, candidates are required to apply for AMUEEE, the entrance exam conducted by the university. The admission dates differ for different academic sessions and are released by the university online. In 2024, the application form for the entrance exam was available online from Mar 19, 2024 to Apr 14, 2024. After the release of AMUEEE results, candidates must appear for online counselling. The counselling is conductes in multiple rounds. In 2024, the registration for the first counselling round started on June 4, 2024.
