Meghnad Saha Award is given to those meritorious students whonhave spent years on a significant research. The basic eligibility criteria to be able to get Meghnad Saha Award is that the student must be a regular research scholar. The candidate must have published a minimum of 02 UGC-CARE listed journals papers. For selection, all the nominations received will be duly screened and verified by the committee constituted by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor. Suitable nominations may be recommended to the Vice Chancellor for award.

Admission to Allahabad University hostel is made out of the merit lists drawn on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance test of the respective courses. Candidates must check the eligibility criteria set by the university before applying for hostel. The basic eligibility criteria is that the a candidate should be a regular student of a degree course of the university. The library has a collection of approximately 7.60 Lacs Books & Bound Vols Journals, 20,000 PhD Thesis (Hard + Soft Copy), 4,000 E-Books, and various e-journals, print journals, databases, and newspapers.
