Yes, admission to PhD in Economics course at Alliance School of Economics is entrance-based. Students who fulfil the basic eligibility will be shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the Alliance Research Aptitude Test (ARAT) + PI + Evaluation of the research synopsis on a proposed dissertation work + Scholastic and Extra-curricular Record + Work Experience.

Students who have completed 1-year/ 2-semester master's degree programme after a 4-year/ 8-semester bachelor’s degree programme or a 2-year/ 4-semester master’s degree programme after a 3-year bachelor’s degree programme or qualifications declared equivalent to the master’s degree with at least 55% aggregate (50% aggregate for SC/ ST) are eligible to apply for the PhD programme offered at Alliance School of Economics.
