For MTech admission is based on GATE score and also the Kerala government conducts an exam called Kerala Engineering and Medical.Amal Jyoti College of Engineering cutoff is checked after the third round of the exam. Considering Amal Jyothi college of Engineering last year cutoff of the exam Kerala Engineering and Medical it was between 57105 to 335189. GATE score is considered bascically for PHD admissions.

In my opinion, Amal Jyothi College of Engineering would be better for B Tech than Saintgits College of Engineering. Even though, I heard that the college has a strict environment and there is no college life, but placements are pretty good. TCS company is a big recruiter for Amal Jyothi College of Engineering. So yes, in terms of study and placement, it's a good place but college life won't be there in Amal Jyothi college of Engineering. They have a strict environment and nothing as they show as college life in movies works here.
