Hello Atharva, after completion of your Diploma in engineering you are definitely eligible for getting admission in a lateral mode directly into second year of engineering in any college in Maharashtra from where I suppose you did your Diploma. I am afraid I could not understand which college you are talking about when you said a m u. But it does not matter the procedure remains same every state has its own ruling about lateral mode of admission in Maharashtra it is the directorate of technical education which centrally conducts counselling for admission based on marks obtained in Diploma. Psychology as a subject is generally included in counselling courses, physiotherapy therapeutic and other medical courses. Psychology course requires studying and understanding human brain development, consciousness, behaviour and personality and humanities related topics.
Also, Amity University Mumbai is the first educational Institution in Maharashtra which is running MPhil Clinical Psychology programme approved by Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). RCI is a statutory body under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment and Department of Person with Disability (Divyagjan). But please refer to the eligibility criteria.
