Or Candidate completed 10+3 years diploma (awarded by the State Board of Technical Education) + AMIE are also eligible to apply.M.E./M.TechCandidates completed B.E. / B.Tech. Electrical and Electronics Engineering/ B.E. / B.Tech. Instrumentation and Control Engineering/ B.E. / B.Tech. Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering/ B.Tech. Instrumentation Engineering/ B.E. / B.Tech. Software Engineering from any recognized institute/university are eligible to apply.B.E. / B.TechCandidate must have passed VIII, IX, X, XI & XII Std. from schools situated in Tamil Nadu. Tamil Nadu native candidate who have passed any of the VIII, IX, X, XI & XII Std. or their equivalent exam from schools situated outside Tamil Nadu can also apply. They should produce Original Nativity Certificate. Children of Central Government Employees, irrespective of their nativity, provided their parents or guardians (only if both parents are not alive) have been serving in Tamil Nadu continuously for the past five years can be eligible to apply. Sons & daughters of All India service Tamil Nadu cadre officers are eligible to apply. A Self declaration from the parent in this regard is to be produced. Children of employees in the Public Sector or Government recognized institutions had been working in their organisations for the past five years are also eligible, irrespective of their domicile. Other State candidates who have studied VIII, IX, X, XI and XII Std. in Tamil Nadu are eligible to apply.

In Amrita Institutions, 130 students were admitted in year 2015-16, out of which 33 graduated in 2018-19. From this, 8 qualified students got placed with a median salary of INR 350000 and 7 students got selected for higher studies. In year 2016-17, 95 students were admitted, out of which 10 graduated in 2019-20. From this, 5 qualified students got placed with a median salary of INR 166000 and 1 students got selected for higher studies. In year 2017-18, 52 students were admitted, out of which 19 graduated in 2020-21. From this, 11 qualified students got placed with a median salary of INR 200000 and 1 students got selected for higher studies.
