TV anchors, also known as newscasters, news analysts or news anchors, are the on-air people that deliver news stories to the broadcasting station's audience. These professionals are usually required to have a Bachelor's degree. Internships or work experience are frequently needed for employment. TV anchors often work their way up the reporting ranks to land the job after working as a reporter, news writer or correspondent. The height and weight criteria is different for different fields of Anchoring But 5 cm relaxation is given to North East, Kumaon area and Gorkhas and 2 cm relaxation is given to Lakshdweep candidates.

As you have completed your class 12th with 82% marks, and you want to become a news anchor, so you should join any media institute for the same. At media institute, you will be trained and taught about the journalism. Best of luck.

To become an anchor, you should have a knowledge of Current Affairs (and most importantly of that task for which you are anchoring), Pleasant Personality and Camera Friendly Face. It will enhance your confidence and your communication skills. And Gradually you can move ahead in your anchoring career, Learn More and more practically, Observe other anchors like how they host, and To be an Anchor, Command on language is must and if you are aware of any regional language other than Hindi, English then its a plus point for you, you can get many opportunities. For sports, anchor you should have good conversation skills along with a UG degree, mostly in BA Language. Then, you should have some handsome experience about the anchoring field also. Then, you can apply for the same.
