Hi,
The first requirement will be that you'll need a passion for writing and traveling
Practice your writing as much as possible so you can start building up your portfolio. You'll most likely be sending articles to travel magazines for publication.
Create your own Youtube channel like this: FunForLouis
I must tell you that its a great career option. You would be able to travel and work at the same time. Now coming to the point of approach.

Hi Lovepreet,
Both are moreover same in terms of what are taught but some institutions have set the course as BA in Journalism and Mass Communication and some others have made it Bachelor in J&MC.
In many institutions I have seen that the BJMC is little bit better than the BA in JMC in other colleges.
Anchoring as in just anchoring actually don't even require a degree all the time but if you meant anchoring as news anchoring then after BA it can be done. Firstly, you have to apply in any TV news channel.
As a journalist or reporter or if they are recruiting any anchor. If the last thing is not happening then first get in as a journalist th

Hi Shivam,
I believe people like Harsha Bhogle are extremely rare (i.e. people who haven't played the game at First Class level or higher) and it's getting increasingly unlikely that you'll have a shot at that role unless you play the game professionally first. There's more former players becoming commentators and experts and they are far more likely to get the positions you're applying for.
But if you want to be a studio host for a sports / cricket show, you may have some luck. You do need ample cricketing knowledge, quite a lot of charm and charisma and the ability to host which, to be quite frank, is something that is more innate eve

Hi,
Steps to Become a Sports Commentator
Step 1: Acquire a Bachelor's Degree. Sports commentators have to know the various rules, history, teams and athletes involved with a sport.
Step 2: Obtain Employment.
Step 3: Join a Professional Organization
You can pursue a UG course in mass communication as it would provide you training on anchoring.

Hi Abbas,
Yes, it's almost like that. However, some people have very important role of luck combined with their talent to get a job as a News Anchor without becoming a News Reporter.
It's a pretty difficult job to get, but the path is somewhat straight forward:
1 - With a degree in Journalism; get a job as a reporter at a TV station in the middle of nowhere. Do anything and everything to get on air as much as possible.
2 - Compile a reel of all your best times on-air, submit this to TV stations at slightly less middle of nowhere markets.
3 - Once you have moved at least once, and find yourself in a place you could deal with living in for a

Hi,
TV anchor is not easy. You may have all the skills for being a TV anchor but the most important one is to get recognised by good people from the industry to get good jobs. Well, for being an anchor, you should have good looks, a unique presentation skill(don't try to imitate. Just be what you are and most importantly, the presence of mind. Not always does you get scripts, you will need to know how and what to do when you are in such a position. Being in a city and doing several auditions is what you can do now and hope for the best.
All the best.

Hi Abbas,
You need to have a Bachelor's degree relevant to the field if you aspire to work as a TV anchor. Most companies look for individuals with a Bachelors degree in Broadcast Journalism. There could be companies that consider individuals with a Bachelor Degree in English Literature or Mass Communication. If you have these degrees, you wont find it really difficult to make it to the interviews.
A news anchor has to present the world happenings in the most interesting manner so that the viewers watch with awe. You need to be aware of the latest happenings in the world and also the reaction of different people towards different happeni
