Admission to Shah and Anchor Kutchhi Engineering College (SAKEC) is moderately competitive. It requires qualifying scores in MHT-CET or JEE Main, with cutoffs varying by branch and category. Popular branches like Computer Engineering have higher cutoffs. Seats are allocated via the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) under DTE Maharashtra, with options for general, reserved, and minority quotas. A strong PCM score in 12th grade and good entrance exam performance (90+ in MHT-CET) significantly improve admission chances.

This minimum cut-off for SAKEC is different depending on the programs and the categories. For Computer Engineering the previous year's cutoff including MHT-CET for general students falls between 92-95 percentiles while for Information Technology it is 90-93 percentiles. On average, JEE Main cutoffs begin at the 70 percentile for offering admissions into top branches. Cut-off marks for the other reserved categories may be slightly lower based on the annual performance trends and the number of seats.
