The CGPA provided for a student by JNTUK is the Cumulative grade point for a student’s overall performance throughout all the semesters in a program. The CGPA is calculated by taking into account all the courses undergone by a student in all the semesters of a programme, i.e. CGPA = Σ (Ci X Si) / ΣCi Where Si is the SGPA of the ith semester and Ci is the total number of credits in that semester. As per the B.Tech (R16) academic regulations of JNTUK, Kakinada, the following is the procedure for the computation of Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA). SGPA (Si) = Σ (Ci X Gi) / Σ CiWhere Ci is

If you miss the internal exam, you will be given zero marks for the respective subject. This can be detrimental because the internal marks from unit tests contribute to the overall internal marks, which are necessary to pass the semester. Failing to obtain the required internal marks can result in having an internal backlog. Similarly, if you miss the semester exam, you will be marked absent, and you will have a backlog for that particular subject. To clear the backlog, you will need to appear for a retest in the next semester, which can add to your academic workload and may delay your progress.

Additionally, there are concerns regarding the evaluation of exam papers, as it often feels like the grading process is not carried out meticulously, leading to potential inconsistencies and unfairness in the assessment of students' performance. Furthermore, one area that needs improvement is the syllabus, which is somewhat outdated. The content and curriculum of some courses do not keep pace with the rapidly evolving industry standards and technological advancements. Moreover, the introduction of new courses does not always seem to provide much value to students in terms of

The mess food is decent but not particularly outstanding, the mess bill for a month is around 1700/- and they will provide non-veg twice a week. While it may not be the best, it is still acceptable. However, if you're looking for more diverse and potentially tastier meals, I would suggest considering joining a mess located outside of the campus. There are several good food messes in the surrounding campus area that offer a wider range of options and are generally well-regarded by students. Exploring these external messes might provide you with a more enjoyable dining experience during your time at the university.
