Requirement of rank depends upon your choice of stream you want to pursue. Streams like Mech. , ECE, Civil one needs to score good enough or one needs to score 1000 to 1500 rank in general category. And, there are other smaller streams such as metallurgy, Marine, Civil environmental. So, to get seat in smaller streams one needs not to score like 1000 or 1500 rank, but 4000 to 5000 ranks are enough.

Yes, there are two exams conducted for the admission in Andhra University. The first exam is Andhra University Common Entrance Test AUCET is conducted by Andhra University, Visakhapatnam.
