Yes, it is a good decision provided that you don't restrict yourself in graphics or animation. Rather, join a course which covers graphics, animation and VFX, you will have a much wider scope.

I have spent more than a decade in the animation industry and I can assure you that normally no one waits for a job after completing a course successfully provided you have developed the skills. It is a competitive industry, every day you need to develop and update your skills. If you have the right skills, no one can stop you to get a job and grow. If you don't have the skills, no one can promise you a job. An animation institute can promise you to get an interview but getting a job is not in their hand, it depends on you and how you perform.
