The duration of a Bachelors degree is 3 years. Diploma programs generally last for a period of 1 year.
Junior animators or trainees could get between Rs. 8,000-15,000 per month. With three to five years experience they can earn Rs. 25,000- 40,000.

To become an animator, you need to obtain a Bachelor's degree. You can opt for any stream in class 12th. Individual institutes conduct their exams. Some of them are:
DSK International Institute for Industrial Design, Animation and Gaming Entrance Exam.
Picasso Animation College Entrance Exam
Thakur-Toonskool Advanced Animation Academy Entrance Exam
Mudra Institute of Communications Entrance Exam
Accel Animation Academy Entrance Exam
FX School Of Animation Entrance Exam
National School of Design Animation Entrance Exam

Incase you feel that you will not perform well in animation then you should opt for other careers.The chances of success would be higher in case you pursue something that you are not confident on. Even if you get a basic salary in animation, this will not help you in the future as you would not grow in the field.

I would suggest you complete your 12th before you pursue any course in animation. On the basis of 10th, you would be eligible to pursue certificate course that will not lead to very stable jobs and salary. For a sound future, you can pursue a degree in animation after the completion of your 12th.
