Anna University

Anna University is the most sought after college for MBA under the TANCET category. It offers dual specialisation from the following 5 options: Marketing, Finance, Human Resource, Systems and Operations. The placements are decent enough. In Anna University, unlike the other private institutions such as SSN and PSG where placements will be taken care by the placement cell of the college, students have to coordinate and conduct the placements with the guidance of the staff. Due to this there might be a variation in the placements when compared to other colleges. The TANCET MBA exam is conducted for 100 marks. To get into Anna University you should get a raw score of 55-60 marks.

Candidates who have cleared Class XII or its equivalent from a recognised board fulfill Anna University eligibility criteria for UG courses. Candidate who have given any other examination (apart from JEE) of any other authority accepted by the syndicate of the Anna University as equivalent there to are also eligible to apply.
For candidates belonging to SC/ST, the age limit is relaxable by three years.
Counselling :-
Anna University admissions in BE/ B.Tech/ B.Arch courses are done through Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) counseling based on the marks obtained in 10+2.
TNEA score= (maths marks out of 100) + (50% of chem. Marks + 50%phy. Marks)
so, this TNEA score is out off 200 and then merit list is made on the basis of TNEA score.
