Selection is mainly through single-window counselling system based on your High school (i.e. 12th or junior college according to your state) marks, when studying under class 10+2 system in India. They see your PCM mark aggregate (generally called CUT-OFF mark in TN) out of 100.

TNEA is a single window counseling that is held every year for admission Into Anna University and its affiliated colleges.
The admission into Anna University is based on the aggregate marks in PCM out of 200 and there are reservations based on caste.
For general category (unreserved) the cut off would be generally above 198/200 while for BC it is around 197/200 and above.
So, if you mention your caste, board of exam, etc. then I may answer in detail.

The aeronautical engineering is available in the Madras institute of technology campus of Anna University.
The general fee structure is around Rs. 10,000/- per annum. If you require hostel requirements, then you need to pay more.
There is another reservation called self-supporting course in which the fee structure is around Rs. 30,000/ per annum. This seats would usually have lower cut off marks.

The admission is based on your board exam marks and there are no separate entrance exams to clear.
You need to apply for the TNEA (Tamil Nadu engineering admissions) counselling, through which you will be allotted seats in Anna University campuses and affiliated colleges based on your marks.
Make sure that you satisfy all the eligibility conditions.
