You have chances of getting a seat at CEG campus of Anna University but you cannot get civil, mechanical, electrical, electronics, computer science, etc. You can get the courses like civil (Tamil medium), mechanical (Tamil medium), geo informatics, printing technology, manufacturing engineering, etc.
So, if you mention your desired course then I may tell whether you have chances for that or not.

Yes, Anna university offers lateral entry admissions for those who have completed 3 years diploma course. As you have completed diploma, you are eligible to get admission at Anna university for B.E/B TECH by lateral entry process.

I think you can get computer science engineering course at the MIT campus of Anna University easily as with this rank you will be called in the first day of counselling (prediction only). So, you can get a good course at MIT mostly CSE is possible.

You may better contact the controller of examinations of Anna University as they may have a better idea regarding this.

The websites for updates regarding the counselling are www.annauniv.edu and www.tnea.ac.in
Still, there is no official information regarding the date of counselling. It will be post the NEET counselling which is scheduled on July 17.
