Hi,
There are no management quota seats for the government colleges that come under Anna University. But the colleges that are under private ownership like SSN College of Engineering have management quota seats.

For admission into Madras Institute of Technology (MIT), you need to apply for counselling under Anna University. If your cut off marks (aggregate in PCM out of 200) are above 195 or 196 then you can get a seat. As another state student you need to have really a good score.

Hi,
The cut off marks are calculated as follows:
1) Mathematics marks out of 200 divided by 2.
2) Add physics and chemistry marks scored out of 200.
3) Then divide that score by 4.
4) After that add both the resulting scores.
The marks you get will be out of 200. This is your cut off marks.
As a general category student if your cut off is 198 or above you can get CEG campus of Anna University.

HI,
For a BC category student, the cut off marks of 126 is really low to get a college or a decent one too. So you better try it in the counselling.
So it is better to try for arts and science courses.
If you want to do engineering just to have a degree then you can do as you may not get any good college.

Hi,
Your admission into Anna University and its affiliated colleges depends on your caste as well. With 192 marks there are low chances only. So if you mention your caste then I may help accurately.
For the previous year cut off marks refer: cutoff.tnea.ac.in

Hi,
As per this cut off marks of 163, you have no chances to get the CEG campus of Anna University even if you belong to SC or ST category.
You may get some average affiliated colleges which will not be equal to the top colleges.

Hi,
To get admission into Anna University (CEG campus) and its affiliated colleges like MIT, etc., you need to appear for a single window counselling under Anna University. For that there are no separate entrance exams.
You board exam marks determine your admission especially your PCM marks.
JEE marks are not considered for admission.
