The eligibility criteria of TNEA conducted by Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE), Tamil Nadu for admissions to B.Tech courses in Anna University and other colleges for other state candidates are given below. Eligibility : Contenders must be an Indian citizen but not a resident of Tamil Nadu. Candidates will have got to produce a Certificate of Permanent residence in the set format in English only when completing the application form. TNEA cutoff 180+ is very good enough for getting B.Tech Chemical Engineering course in any reputed Engineering College. So you can get AIT Karaikudi for the asked course.

Hi, Yes indeed. Anna University is the local agency coordinating all admissions for engineering colleges in the state of Tamil Nadu. You need to visit the portal of the university and fill the appropriate form. There is a quota that is reserved for NRI students. Of course, they will demand some documents to prove that your parents are indeed NRI.
