Among ECE and CSE, deciding which one is better depends on the person's interest. Both are equally good. If you love coding and stuff, then it'll be better to choose CSE, and if you love more of circuits and robotics, then choose ECE. Between ECE and CSE, there are higher chances of CSE getting higher pay packages. But don't get disheartened. As for campus placements, mainly IT companies visit and they pool both from ECE and CSE background depending only on your abilities. Again, both the streams will give you a lot of scope for higher studies!
In ECE, you have an additional advantage- ESE (Engineering Service Examination) covers only 4 streams and ECE is among them. You can join some core companies for ECE, which will fetch you a high salary.

Given below are some basic criteria one has to fulfil so as to get admission in Anna University. The basic eligibility criteria for both the courses is that one needs to have passed HSC Examination or equivalent from any recognised education board. Admission to both the courses are made through entrance test. There are separate entrance tests for the courses. The selection of candidates for Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission TNEA 2018 will be based on the marks obtained in the prescribed subjects reduced to 200 (Mathematics 100, Physics + Chemistry 100 in the qualifying examination). Clearing the minimum cut-off in Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission TNEA exam. You should visit the college website regularly so as to get regular updates of the exam as registration for test starts from 1st May 2019.

SSN College of Engineering follows the guidelines by Anna University for admission in engineering colleges. Here the admissions are given based on guidelines issued by Anna University for 65% of the total intake and is based on the marks obtained in 12th standard by the Tamil Nadu Board of students who are to domiciled in Tamil Nadu. The remaining seats are distributed under different categories. But these too are filled up based on merit of 12th marks only.
